    only asked cos i managed to find 3.42 crownwheel and pinions in the states for front and rear. iv'e ordered detroit true trac lsd's for both ends to go with them.
    to fit 3.42's you need to use a v6 rear diff casing but they go in the 7.5" front.

    i do a lot of m/way at 70mph plus and wanted to run taller gearing to give the motor an easier life.

    i worked out the gearing with the 3.42's and 33"tyres and 70 mph should be around 2400 rpm. the v8 should pull the taller gearing easily and it should be a lot better on fuel. the top whack will be silly though especially on at's.

    im on 4.56 at the moment and 70mph is 3270rpm.

    it was a guy called josh at inchworm that sorted it all out.
