I've enjoyed Gilmour's solo stuff too. Still have 'Blue Light' somewhere. Waters solo stuff is a bit more up his own ar5e though, even though I did go to Hammersmith to see 'Pros and cons of hitchiking' tour some time around '84...

The Doors? Ground breaking, awesome. Stunning musicians with a hint of madness thanks to Morrison and absolutely of their time and country with Vietnam and all that. Still something I like to play REALLY loud when very drunk every now and then. These young uns, they dont know what they're missing!

And you like the foo fighters .................Hmmmmmm

its not fekin right is it
it gets my goat hearing music that the young ones play and its all ripped of old school music
any one get what i mean?
i cant hear the new stuff coz iam always just hear the beat and know what song its from
it fekin buggs me to the back teeth fekin shocking its aloud to go on

for you young ones that dont know what iam on about

I used to think that, but songs from my youth, 'Bankrobber', 'I fought the law' A few bowie songs etc. were covers, from black and white TV days.

                    I concur Andy.

                    almost.

Wish you were here. awesome! but I do think its miles better than the other stuff, BRILLIANT though The Wall, DSotM etc are.

Momentary Lapse of Reason is good, though I don't think it (or Division Bell) can really be called a pink floyd album, without Roger Waters.

Got 'On an Island' by Gilmour, which is an excellent album in and of itself, and very very poignant. Got the Gilmour DVD 'on a night like this Live at the Albert Hall' and its one of my favourite DVDs. has a few special guests too - Bowie does Arnold Lane really well, couple of the guys from Crosby Stills Nash and Young also show up, and Richard Write plays too.

I also really like Roger Waters DVD 'In the Flesh' - great stuff. Hes such a good writer. Pros and Cons is a bl88dy great album m8!

Ive never been keen on early floyd (syd only did the first album really, so lets not blame him for everything!) apart from a few - pigs on the wing, if i were a swan etc...

I remember hearing Careful with that Axe Eugene on the Radio Wales Rock Show (hosted by Richard Reese in the '80s) and was blown away by it....

ah, 43 now.... where did those years go? oh dear... time for a beer....

Holy Diver or Last in Line by Dio

or make it easy and do the Black album or Back in Black!

or a great pic of Eddie off of 'maiden - how about that!!!!!!

The Final Cut... now there's an angry album if I ever heard one. There's a lot on there thats hard for me to listen to without a lump in my throat. Great writer Waters, but very egocentric.

ALL music is better this way. It's why there is nothing released from Amsterdam. It's all crap but "sounds good at the time".
