A few of my thoughts:
Most rock and roll is derived from the deep south 12 or 24 bar blues..from way back.
The scissor sisters "comfortably numb" is a great song. The original is $hite.
How may 4:4 beats are there? You are bound to repeat unless you change Rap to 3:4...... imagine Snoop Dawg trying to waltz his way through a ho killin' Bother Muther truckin' 'hood disrespecting ditty.
To me "under pressure" by queen is a fantastic version, however lacks the rapping of the original by Vanilla Ice......
Just depends on your perspective I suppose and original is not always the best. If that was the case why aren't there only gen 1 surfs.....?

Love Floyd. Probably my all time favourite band. My brother had a crappy cassette copy of the wall when I was ten and I got hooked. Tend to agree with Andy early stuff is a wee bit trippy for my taste.
Tickets for Roger Waters playing the wall next March arrived the other day. Can't wait.
Never went to see him before as he came across like such a cock on an interview I saw him in years ago. However, I happened to be working Hyde Park festival few years ago and he played Darkside in it's entirety which was AMAZING!

I know the girl who runs Battersea Dogs and Cats home. She was starting to organise a charity fundraising dinner actually inside the power station. I suggested she get an inflatable dog made to replicate the Animals album cover on the night. She loved it and has been looking into it. She even talked to the band about playing. Then decided against it after they said they would do it... For £250k!
