Did you buy an auto locking diff yet?

After driving around with it for some time now I've noticed some things.
When the diff is cold, locking and unlocking are less keen. When pulling away, depending on if you are turning or have finished a turn depends on which half shaft has drive from the begining. E.g. sometimes pulling away, even from a set of lights one side of the truck will lift slightly as that side has immediate drive. If you accellerate harder it equals. It only seems for the initial few feet.

As the inside wheel always has drive (as opposed to the outside wheel with an open diff) if accellerating round a bend, the truck may hop a little or the inside tyre chirp a little. If you are smooth then you hear the diff unlock and ratchet across the gears.

When the diff is warm, you can apply more accellerator in bends before the diff locks.. When the diff is cold, most of the time you cannot tell if it has unlocked or not probably due to the oil being thicker?

I also noticed when I had my skinnier tyres on that when the truck is in one wheel drive mode it tries to steer the truck slightly! With the 33"s on I havent noticed this.

On another note, my half shaft no longer leaked even after multiple motorway journeys since freeing the breather.

The only thing I've had time to do to my truck recently is stick some rent in the windscreen!!
So no, I haven't even ordered a diff yet, but will do before Xmas.

Accelerating in a straight line, power should be shared between both wheels, however hard you stomp on the go pedal. Does yours not do this?
What make diff did you get?

I need to get some rent Ends this month!

Mine does accellerate in a straight line. But sometimes the initial pull off can cause the truck to steer as its only driven on one wheel e.g. after turning.
The diff I ordered was the lockright as posted few months ago. I love it, One of the best things I have done to the truck.
I was forever spinning up one wheel with the open diff. Not on purpose either!
