  • Two wheels

In both my Surfs, sometimes when taking a corner I could get one of the back wheels lifted off the floor whilst the other three remained on the ground.. Had to be going at a reasonable speed though.
On the way to Portsmouth yesterday, joining the M25 from the A217 I was accellerating to join the motorway and apparently there was daylight under the front wheel as well as the back, as per friends in the car behind.
I wasnt really going that fast to be honest, the bend is a smooth bend off the roundabout.

I would have thought having no ARB would keep the wheels on the ground.. unless body weight was enough to pendulum it over?
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

    (fetches can opener.....)

Having no ARB will be the reason that your front wheel is lifting. You need to be a bit calmer on the corners.

ARB = Anti Roll Bar! It is supposed to stop the car rolling, this could be the issue!

I'm not even sure if I believe them any way. But I've made sure I go slower around roundabouts etc.
Body roll is a bit... too much just now.

            haaa the joys of arb's
they are on for a reason dude

i took mine off did one roundabout near me
went all the way around twice once normal the other one very slowly to get my turn off for home
i put em back on there and then

when the back end slips out with no arb's it feels like ya going to tip
with em on its quite sterdy for a 4x4 difts nicely if ya catch it in time

And for every opinion like George, there are 3 more like me who ran lifted Surfs on 33s with no arb front or rear and had no issues.

Can I have first dibs on the wheels and tyres after you've rolled it?

I'd be inclined not to believe them either. The rear yeah, but the weight of the front end of a surf would be enough to make me think otherwise... You'd lose traction and understeer first and you'd probably be sh!tting yourself at the speed you entered the corner at way before the front end lifted.

That's what I thought. I'm inclined not to belive the front came off. Think there would be a fine line between that and the point of no return.

These are the same people who panicked and had me pull over on the A3 because one of my rear springs was falling out..
I knew before I even took my seat belt off that there was no way. I went and had a look anyway, and then spent 5 or 10 minutes explaining that everything is okay and it just looks like it because of the lift and standard length torsion bar, but both top and bottom were in the cups.
