thermostat

i am trying to find out where to get an 82 degree thermostat for my surf i have seen somewhere on this forum of using the lower temp thermostat from a LC i think it was but after searching for the post for nearly two hours i can't find it.
It's ###### typical i saw it and thought to bookmark it but got sidetracked and turned the computer off and haven't been able to find it again

Just done a quick forum search and apparently the thermostat from the 3.0 Surf fits and comes on at 82 deg C rather than 88 deg C.

I thought it was something to do with fitting something from a Toyota Corolla but if I remember correctly that was a temp sensor to switch on the electric fan in front of the radiator at a lower temp.

Hopefully someone will be along with a definite answer later...
