George, it's very easy for people here (like myself) to give bits of advice here and there. However before you start spending money on an epic project, get in touch with someone who knows the field, whether it's education, environmentalism etc, and get a good, balanced opinion of how well you it will do.

It may be that you've got a genuine idea that will go far - it may also be that it's not been done for a reason. Only someone who understands what you want to do and where it will fit in will be able to tell you.

The story goes that Dyson 2 years wasting time perfecting his cyclone system before going to a patent lawyer, who pointed out the papers already published that would have done all the groundwork for him. No point reinventing the wheel.

On a side note, you're hoping to pick up meteors from the soil with large electromagnets? Wow. Is that how it's done?

I guess if they're ferrous and not far beneath the surface. There'd be a load of other junk you'll catch too though.

          meteors are in the sky
meteorite tho are found with magnets yes

been in talks with people about it
been spending money on this since 2008

i dont think i could find anyone that understands my idea
my idea can not be stolen coz beleave me no one realy knows only me my dads and my wife and they dont understand it
most people think iam mad but i properly am
iam not in this to make my self a millionaire
just the doing it for a job with out much living is good enough for me
it was in 3 parts but i have had to drop on part coz its not going to work
who knows i may have to drop other parts yet
          its not fully tested
or i may add to it i really just dont know yet

my studio/shed is the biggest cost lots more than the surf
so i been spending money i dont have on things that may or may not work for ages now
i was in an high payed job when i worked
i never saved much realy or so i thought
but i spent all my money on collectables
i now sell em to other collectors i know to pay for my the things i need
so even if a collector backs out of a deal and leave me with nothing to play with

i then bite the bullet and dig in to my prize collection pull one coin out and sell it

i hate sell em but if i have to i will sell my whole life to pay for what iam doing
i want a job and iam unemployable so i will make up my own job free lance

its how its done i lost everything before you know

No I don't work for an education authority as such. I'm a trainee science teacher (physics & chemistry to A level but I have to be up to scratch with my biology and geology too).

Anything I could use that will engage kids in science is going to be welcome in my opinion, especially if it's a bit different to the usual stuff that they do in schools. Even better still if it is something that can be used across other subjects as well - basically we have to "tick" certain boxes with every lesson plan we do to achieve a certain number of ticks per box per class per year (to over simplify it a lot!)

If you want any advice out of the public forum feel free to drop me a PM if you renew your subs to the forum or if you want my email it's rusty_1973@yahoo.com

Good luck with whatever it is you're planning!

sent ya an email so its in my address bar now so ya can remove it from here

yes its very new and far better than how they learn kids of today
i was one of them kids that had to go to a panel every month
i thought every kid did that but most kids never saw a panelof governers
its like a school court for kids
no school would have me by the time i was 13
i could not read and right well at all
i was banned from every school property in yorkshire
no abbys no newman schools would have me
barnardos took me on were i did 3 years the longest any puble had been there
                they calmed me down
found i was realy bad dyliksic with numbers too
but i excel in other things
the education i got from redbarn house (barnardos school)
                was top stuff
so my in sight in the failing of the education authority (who said i would spend all my life in prison the same govener that chop his wife up 2 days after saying that to me with an axe?)
                i know were it fails
its not learning kids the right way thats why alot of kids are unruley in the class room
there mind span is not that great
this iam doing is it works on that spot
and kids will love it even the ones that think they are bad asses
coz this prosess works and can be aplyed to anything that you want to teach
i just want to throw it at a sudject that needs addressing sooner rather than later
once i start they will then come in waves hopefully washing out the old way with it
                my school failed me
they were teaching me things i learnt whiles digging spuds up with mi grandad it felt like
i use this same way and have ahd 3 year olds printing painting word prosessing all on a computer at 3 years old
i know how to get across to them
i have no kids of mi own tho

and i realy want to teach the kids of today
am not die lex sick its you that cant read mate
