    any one here into silversmiths
i have an old stamp one of those that they use to stamp in blood or wax to seal it shut
i think they called em seals
what i want to know is
the batman family who were silversmiths i have one of the rare stamps of the batman hallmark
how rare is it i know it only ran for like 6 years
and i think it could be a batman seal iam not sure but its looking like its would say R.B in fancey lettering
but how rare is it to have one of these
    batman silver stuff is collectable
PB AB - Peter & Ann Bateman spoons are worth selling atm
if any of you get the chance read up on the below link about paul storr
some of you lot may be sat on thousands of pounds and not even know about it

To get a better idea what it says try melting a coloured candleand stamping it.

PB will be the makers mark, not it's hallmark

      PB could be:

      PB under a crown (Peter Bennett [ L ] ) 18th c./1st half
      PB over AB (Peter & Ann Bateman [ L ]) end 18th c.
PB over AB over WB (Peter Anne and William Bateman [ L ]) end 18th c/beginning 19th c.
      PB over IB (Peter & Jonathan Bateman [ L ] ) 18th c./2nd half

although from the pics its doesn't seem to be any of them - on the other side is a mark, what is it? that may be the hall mark, or age/city mark

I'm guessing the middle one is a lion passant, can you see any letters? are they capital or lower case?

Is that an A on the right?
