petrol engine and deep water

is there anything that can be done so a petrol engine can go under water
like a diesel engine can with a snorkel
i mean so it is fool proof not some bodge job that may work
i no nothing of petrol engines only they die on me in deep water
and i have to mess about to start it again
dizzy cap is the biggest problem and spark plugs they always sit in a hole that fills with water

so its not just a case of filler or foam
coz if the engine need to be fixed at any time
then i dont want any problems with taking it to bits
after its been made water proof
is it possible?

Trying to insulate 25,000V or so against water is going to be difficult to say the least.

Am electrical insulating spray like this may work. Where the HT leads go onto the coil and dizzy cap should be relatively easy to waterproof as you don't have the high temperature to worry about.
The dizzy cap to dizzy body could be sealed with an O ring and more sealant.
The hard part is going to be sealing around where the HT leads go onto the spark plugs as you have to contend with high temperatures too. I'd also be inclined to over sleeve the HT leads with silicone hose

Normal low voltage electrical connectors can be made water resistant with the spray as well

i know that stuff works too

its just sealing the plugs/ht leads on the head?
i have put that jb weld its a fiuid that sets like metal i have put that in the ht leads bit on the head before it worked
but they guy who works on my cars was not very happy about it
and there is still a spark plug that is not comeing out of that car ever again
so its not good if it needs fixing at any time

a guy is after buying my collection
he said between december to april he will pay me
