Me personally i wouldn't buy a self built trailer unless i know who built it and i know what their work is like.
This is why i bought my own Ifor Williams trailer last year.Although it cost 2k but at the end of the day i know its decent and will last

Gordon, Robin is selling a car transporter 2.5 diesel good runner very nice truck he just dropped price to 1750 you would probably get it cheaper.

Mind a trailer needs to be braked is a 3rd gen is towing anything over a ton.
Jimny would be fine but bigger trucks would be trouble if you got stopped with an unbraked trailer.

You will get a lot of tyre scrubbing when turning thats for sure.

There was/is a law saying that trailers with a certain distance between axles have a faster towing speed but wether that true or not I don't really know, I hope your not thinking about sticking a Surf on it tho....
If at first you don't succeed.........give up.

              Hi BPsparks,

Oh yeah, you'd realy struggle to turn that one
by hand, even with your truck there's a big
chance of pushing the tyres off the rims when
loaded. Don't forget that BOTH axels must be braked
              to be legal.

              Gman.
If it aint broke, keep goin' till it is.

this is the same trailer as i have got.It weighs 500kg and a max weight of 2600kg's and big enough to take a surf.It is movable with one person and can be loaded while not hitched up to the towing vehicle

I find it a very good trailer and only weighing 500kg's you forget you are towing it

And you will always get good money back for a williams if you ever sell on.
They are money in the bank if cared for.

my one has paid for itself in the year i have had it compared to what i was paying to hire in a trailer and then a 50m round trip to collect and then take it back each time.
If i had the money i would of gone for the ct177 tilt bed and with the ramps that just slide out.I got use now to having to pull the ramps out and fit them in place

My mate has one like that, it also has a solid bed and sides that can be fitted.
Ideal for running scrap to the cash man

if its just for transporting the zook about then yea it will pay for itself by not hiring one and plus if you happen to damage a hired one then you got to pay for it aswell

If you are talking about the Jimny you can legally tow that behind the 3rd gen with an A frame.

The jimny basically becomes an unbraked trailer but as it will be under the ton that will be fine.

I can make you an A Frame to suit for much cheapnes sir
