  • Back from Avalanche

Got back from Avalanche at 5.30 this evening , only took 1 1/2 hours but took over 2 hours to get there . Took a different route on way back so will use that one next time .

Great fun watching people go round and really want to get my 1st gen back on the road again .

Weather was a bit mixed on Friday afternoon but has stayed dry since .

Thanks to the usual team of Jon and Nigel for arranging it and also Martin , Anita , Nigel and Julie for the chilli and curry .

    Thanks again .

A video was taken of the offroading by Tam and will be sent to Nigel asap so he can edit out the porn bits and put the rest on the forum .

Doesn't look like there's much headroom, looks a bit like sleeping in a coffin!

Rich and I had a great time, it was good seeing everyone and meeting new faces. Thanks to all those who organised such a great weekend, we wish we could have stayed the last night. Hopefully next year!

Looking forward to seeing the photos of Rich in his pants on the forum

        copied over from Grassmans thread:

I'd like to add my thanks to all those that helped me out over the weekend:

        * those who helped me set up my tent,
        * those that fed me,
        * those that organised the event,
        * those that made my Mrs feel welcome,
        * those that helped me load my trailer (correctly)
        * those that made us brews after we were packed up
        * those who drove me to the shop, 10 miles away when there was one round the corner
*and just generally to everyone that was there and made the weekend great.

        you know who you are.

Anywho, made it back in just 3 hours, not the 7.5 it took me to get there and I couldn't even tell the trailer was on the back, as it had been loaded correctly.
Great to catch up with people I knew and likewise, it was great to meet new people.
Next time however, its a caravan for me,
