  • Helicopter gunship

I honestly don't know what sort of helicopter gunship it was (didn't get a good enough look at it) but by christ it was effing loud! It just flew over at pretty low level. Blummin ground was rumbling.

    It looked something like this:

Only managed to catch a glimpse of it once it had flown over but it was something along those lines...

Very impressive. But not as good as when the Red Arrows flew over my house in diamond formation last summer!

Probably just one of those eye in the sky traffic helicopters... looks tame enough...

The councils are using helicopter gunships now, to make sure you don't put cardboard in the glass bin.
      Shoot on sight for offenders.

Funnily enough it IS bins collection day today...

Food waste, garden waste & non-recyclables today.
Next week it's paper, carboard, plastic bottles, glass, cans, etc.

It all goes into the same hole in the ground though.

I used to live close to RAF Benson and I'm pretty sure they used to use me for practice when I went out for a run. They would suddenly pop up from behind hills and scare the living **** out of me

3 of those flying in formation is enough to make the ground shake!

I used to work for a company maintaining transmitters out in field, usually in the middle on nowhere.
I was a trainee and we were off roading across a wide open field in a Range Rover when the driver said shit here we go again.. two tornadoes had spotted us and i guess we were their practice target run ...they would scream low and fast overhead one after the other ...

as a waste management officer for the council, this attitude REALLY p1sses me off.

we use DIFFERENT holes in the ground.

                will you people never learn?

AH64D if not mistaken I'm sure Apache (Andy) will reminisce when he sees this ? They do a lot of work up training your way before deploying to 'warmer climes'

                      Still prefer the Lynx....

                        Spooky...

Has a 'W' on the front though, to signify a Westlands built, RR engined (and thus much better than the USA version) one.
