  • A Really sad day of reality checking today :'-(

It has finally hit me that it is just not financial viable for me to own a 4x4 as just a plaything anymore, so next month when I get through it's mot and ask Tony (expect my call) to have a gander at what the load clicking is when I turn right with 4wd engaged after my last heavy off-roading. get that fixed, valet it and then sadly it will be...

    UP FOR SALE.

So if anyone wants an off-road ready 3rd Gen watch this space, would sell it now but I don't think I would get much for it with one months MOT left and a click 4wd system. it's such a shame as I have spent so much on m baby and love it to bits but now I am not working it is an extravagance too far.

Off to have a cry now.

    Gary.

not worth it, could do with the money at the moment and I can't see me being able to afford it in the next couple of years so in order to afford to fix it I have to sell it.

It's tough when you have to make decisions like this but if it's something you enjoy I'm sure you'll be back sooner or later.

We've been wrestling with one or two budgetary costs at the moment and trying to prioritise what can go and what is essential...

Best to really weigh up the options before you make any big decisions though. Difficult to afford a "toy" when times are tough though. My Surf is the daily family drive so we're stuck with it really...

I would ditch the hot-tub, my btother had one and it cost a fortune in electricty - just be wasted to be used now and again - a 3rd gen would be cheaper to run!
