  • Surf decals

    Hi guys,

Forgive my intrusion into your forum but I've just duplicated a set of Surf decals for a customer and wondered if any of you had problems getting decals for this vehicle. I've listed a second set on ebay that you can look at at the link below. Let me know what you think. Again, sorry for the intrusion.

    Lorcan.

I think you sir are going to have a lot of takers. I might even go for a set myself in the not to distant future. I removed mine because they were getting worn (plus my pressure washer damaged one).

Someone recently posted that they were looking for a set.

What do you need to do the different styles, I can print out the graphics from the Toyota parts catalog.

    Cheers

In most cases I would need the vehicle left with me for a day. I have to take lots of photographs, colour references and measurements, and make test prints. It looks simple but actually it's very time consuming to get right. For example, on the set I copied the "fade" part of the design starts in a different place on each element of the design, and on each colour, and there are about 10-12 elements per side, in 2 colours each. That's at least 40 fades to get right.

This is the first time I have ever seen a Surf, so I don't know what the others are like. I'm afraid I can't work from photographs alone (unless it's a simple colour change from a design I have already digitized).

If you are in Cornwall though, I am in Falmouth, feel free to call in. My company is called Autograffiti. I'm afraid it's only worth me making up a set if I can sell a few (not one) but I'd be happy to see some different model Surfs and see what I can do.
