  • Tow bar adjustable and removable? Any thoughts?

Bought myself a nice little trailer recently based around a mini
chassis and need to get a tow bar for yhe Surf Ideally I don't want
something that is attached like a permanently to just get in the way
offroad and negate the point of having the lift.

Also it would be good to have an adjustable level in case I ever find a cheap Sankey.

Been thinking of getting a rear bumper made that's attached to the
chassis and strong enough to double as a tow attachment point but will
need some sort of drop plate. Dixon bate ones look great but the
backing plate itself is still going to act like a plough.

Wondering about getting a bumper made that has something like this

but not sure whether with the drop I would need with a 5inch lift it
will be ok? Not going be towing anything oyher than a small trailer
    though.

    Any thoughts?

Also anyone know if the legislation re: approved towbars is applied
via build or reg in the uk date? ( think it's post '99 it applies to?)

    Cheers

That's defintely the plan for the future but I still will need to be able to tow others that are standard height.
