  • Suspension lift

This weekend me and the boys are doing the LC suspension lift and ball joint spacer lift.
I've read the forum posts regarding this. With regards to the panhard rod is it possible to get this reconnected after the lift? I wont be able to cut and weld at mine, but can drive the surf after the lift to a garage to have it done there.

I'm a bit nervous about doing the front still
    Oh Nana, what's my name?

There is no need to do anything with the panhard rod.
    Leave it alone.

Front spacers are no bother, just trim the lip off and they fit on lovely.
Mind and keep the water drain to the bottom

I have Surfenstein spacers - these are sort of U shaped

Thats good to know about the panhard rod, but how comes some say lengthen it? People mention about disconnecting it to get the new springs in. Is this not the case?

      Cheers!

At risk of awaking sleeping mathematics dunces, if you are only doing a small lift (ie LC springs) and your panhard starts off more or less level, there's no need to do anything at all with your rod. The amount your body moves laterally is minimum.

unfortunately you still need to remove a small portion of the rear lip from the top wishbone.

And get your camber/toe-in done afterwards,

re the panard rod, you may not have to touch it ! however i did cut mine and the difference in lenght (from before to after fitting the springs) was approx
20mm, thats the gap i had after, up to you i guess, that ammount aint gonna pull the axel over by much,

20mm on the hypotenuse is next to nothing on the x axis, after the extension on the y axis is taken into consideration.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Meant to say, you don't need to do anything with the panhard rod, just leave it connected.

Once the lift is done and the weight is back on the truck, nip underneath and slacken, then re-tighten both mountings to unload the bushes.

If you want an adjustable one, I can supply one for a reasonable price. But it'll take a few days to prepare.
