Body lift done! Twas a mission, but done it in the end

If you had seen how we jacked the body up you would have called us cowboys. Put simply, a trolley jack, a bottle jack and a long block of wood...

Thanks John! They are in dire need of a refurb! Will be coming off in a few weeks, as I have replacements.

dieselboy - is it a 2.4 or 3 litre Surf? Just wondering cos I've got a 2.4 and it's always useful to get more info from folks about how they found doing stuff that I'll be doing sometime!

Where did you get your bodylift kit from?

          It's a 3.0
There are a few niggles though, Neutral on the selector is difficult to find sometimes. Not sure how to rectify that! But all works fine.

Lift kit ordered from Surfenstein! Well recommended

Adjustments can be made to the shift linkage.
Under the truck, you'll see where the shift lever comes through the floor and joins the link rod that goes to the gear selector on the transmission. There's a slot in the rod where you can adjust the throw of the lever. 12mm spanner.

Thanks Vince, I got under it and looked at that. It had been a long day. Now you mention it again, I understand I can simply loosen it off, put the lever where it's supposed to be and nip it back up. Not sure why that didn't click the other afternoon. Might do this tonight if I have time, and it doesnt P*55 down
