patriotism is to do with ones country, not region.

since England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland are all seperate countries, kinda hard to be patriotic about the UK when it is in fact seperate countries.

iam patriotic about yorkshire first and the ukl second
history of rotherham is my main thing
but i have a patriotic feeling for all the uk
wales and scottland embrace there history
the english maily hide theres
yorkshire we are very different apart from ower involvment in the killing of ower last true blood royal mary queen of scotts (god bless her)
we have a rich history just like any were else
the tikes (yorkshire clan) traded with all the nothen clans and even help in each others battels
so yes i feel more than part of the uk

the fight wasnt for the grounds, it was for the throne as there was debates about who should take it. the fight wasnt a fight to secure yorkshire independency.

Scotland and Wales had their own rulers, as England had its own rulers....(yorkshire being part of the English nation)

Patritism is for ones country, not county. you may have love, pride and passion for Yorkshire but not patriotism.

Im patriotic for everything England does, not just football.

and yes, you are English, you can deny it, paint it any colour you want, but you are English. yorkshire is not a country or nation, it is a county of England.
