Take a length of 3x2 timber that will fit the length of the sill. Run a groove down the centre of the 3" side and place that against the sill, then place your jack under the timber and lift slowly. Best to use a couple of jacks if you can spaced out evenly to spread the load.
You couldn't have used the steps anyway as they wouldn't take the pressure/weight of the lift

yea should be ok steve,if you use long thick pieces of wood so to spread the weight it should be ok.take it nice and easy when jacking up and keep an eye on the floor, just in case it starts to buckle up.scaffolding planks are pretty good a few cut up to around a 3 foot length should be ok.use a jack at each end.Originally posted by steve s View Postas i haven't got side steps on my surf how do i jack the body up ,would it be ok just to put wood blocks on the underside of the floor were poss ?www.overfab.uk
