London to Brighton......madness

Driving home yesterday up the M23 when suddenly found myself about to run over a bicycle..... luckily I had to room to get round it, not easy in a Surf .... It had fallen off one of those rear carrier thingys.... Saw the car it had come off a way up the road. I got off at the next junction and rang Police. They were aware of it and someone was en route. They seemed more concerned coz they thought I'd made the call while driving than the fact there was a bike lying in the o/s lane of the M23 on a Sunday afternoon, the day of L to B bike ride and about 100 mtrs from the spot where 7 people were killed a little while back.... Is it no wonder people don't want to help when there's the risk of getting a ticket your self.....

Should have run the damn thing over....
