  • Rear load cover - Any help fitting?

    Hello Surfer's,
I've had my rear load cover for a while now, but i've not had much luck fitting it!
Do you need to remove the side plastic trim and fit the brackets to the metal?
Then cut the plastic trim to go over the brackets?
Do you do this for all 4 of the plastic brackets?
Does anyone have any pictures to help an idiot like me?
    Thanks for any help, Stuart.

It would be easier to replace the 2 rear trim panels than mess about cutting yours...

I had to cut my trim panels to fit the load cover I bought off here a few years back. You'll need some of the square plug inserts to fit in the holes in the metalwork under the trim panels, otherwise there's nothing for the fixing screws to bit into (did you get the fixing screws with the cover?).

Getting the exact size of the holes for the fixing brackets can be a bit hit & miss as well (at least it was for me), so I'd suggest cutting the holes undersized to start with, until you can get the brackets lined up properly and then mark out the exact size to cut. Alternatively, see it you can source some ready cut panels off a scrapper.
