Garages?

Hello all you North East surfers anyone tell me if there are any Surf friendly garages out here(Durham) that know what they are doing cos after reading through the forums I feel as though I really need someplace I can trust when /if things start going wrong as its nice to be prepared any help and/or views would be appreciated.

Hello Mate, Im from Durham too, my surf is in the garage now getting discs skimmed under the warranty, [ long story ] you can read about it on my other posts,
Anway when warranty is up I know of a very good surf freindly garage, he is a toyota specialist, already done one 2.4 head, spoke to the owner and says he done an excellent job, he is on with anothet 2.4 head now.
Heard loads of good reports about him, very fair and honest.
Not sure if he will want me to put his name and contact number on hear Yet. but if you send me a PM. I will give it to you, then when I speak to him if it is ok I will put it on the site.

bear being local to you! (monkey hanger) I am interested in the garage you mention ? only know of one near me who does work on surfs! did my cam belt and service etc, ok but if there is a better one who has head experience, I would be interested to know.

Hunters (Just Diesels) - should be in Yellow Pages but were next to Hunters Bus Garage at Tantobie until they moved a few months ago know what they are doing with diesel fuel systems.

Team Valley Transmissions, 64 Hutton Close, Washington did good work replacing head gasket and fitting ATF cooler. They seem to care, have a Toyota Hilux pickup, and always ask you to pop in after a couple of days so that they can check for any leaks etc.

Very good garage in Stanley, Durham.

Spoke with the owner today, very helpful, knows a lot about Surfs, already done 4 succesfull heads.
Will be taking my surf their from now on for services etc.
