engine siezed

After taking the head off of the old beast a couple of days ago.Today i stripped everything else sellable from the engine and then i triesd to turn the engine over using a socket and long breaker bar.With 2 of us on the bar we still couldn't budge it so i think the bottom end has well and truel gone

I drained the oil out today aswell and there was no way 6.5 litres come out but there was a bit of coolant tho so i'm just hoping that the head hasn't gone aswell as chillit is wanting it

it might be in my 2.4 engine - thats got a lot of pressure, so much so it blows the rad hoses off... i wondered where all that extra pressure was comming from, Cornwall, obviously!

i don't care now, ive got a 3rd gen, ooh i'm excited!

know how you feel Andy cause i couldn't wait to go get mine last week and i bet if you had seen it advertised on the forum you would of bought it yourself

we'll get it up to Tony Charlie and go from there.I had a quick look and couldn't see any cracks on the valves but i haven't cleaned it up at all to check properly.Mudskipper had the last head off me and it wasn't till it was tested it showed cracks.I don't want to sell anything knowing its knackered or anything ,but i did the sniffer test a few weeks ago and it was ok

I'm not worried Richard, Worst case scenario, I have a few extra days walking to work till I find another one.

Hi Brad the ecu was the 1st thing to be sold mate
I have just had an email from the guy who had the ecu and it hasn't done the job on his truck.I have said that you are after one so if he is wanting to sell it then i will let you know asap

P.S I left you a message on the the other thread about wanting an tail pipe exhaust bracket for a 2.4, the bit that fits on the exhaust not the hanger.
