  • Getting into 4 wheel drive?

Complete newb here! I have a 92 SSRG, how should I be putting it into 4 wheel drive? Does just pressing the 4x4 button on the side of the stick and it lighting up on the dash mean its in 4 wheel drive? Whats the L4 and H mean? It's currently in the H position. It isn't much fun off road in 2 wheel drive! Sorry for being such a dim wit but I need to learn!

    Many thanks

always make sure you are at a compleat stop before you go in it 4wheel drive
only put it into 4 wheel drive if you are in D with foot on the brake or N or P
dont drive it in 4 wheel drive on tarmac its no good for them
only do it on a gravel road or slippyer

l4 is low ratio you dont need that unless your putting ya surf under a lot of load

keep it in L on steep down hills not L4

other than that get a snorkel if you go near water

sometimes if the 4wheel drive wont kick in go in reverse a few yards
and grease your propshaft up every few mounths

    welcome dude

H is high range two wheel drive. H with button in, is high range 4 wheel drive. L4 (no need to press button) is low range 4 wheel drive. Do not use 4 wheel drive on hard surfaces. It's only part time 4WD because there is no centre diff.
