  • 3rd gen coil springs

Who has fitted the roughtrax front and rear springs on their 3rd gen and are they good while towing?Do you get much compression with a heavy trailor or caravan on as i thinking of replacing mine mainly to be on the safe side as i tow alot and want something decent on the truck.
Are they any different to fit than the 2nd gen ones

i'll have a look to see whats what underneath and then look into getting some springs and let you know how easy/hard they are to fit

TBH ive looked & it seems to be easy if you've got a pair of spring compressors.

I might have got away with that one too if i had some sort of a cloaking device.

Rich, I have just changed all four shocks on my 3rd gen.

Not difficult, just a pain to remove the rears as they had been in place for 14yrs.

Fronts are just normal coil over set up, get a decent set of compressors, those front spings are strong.

A bit of a daft question but where is the 3rd gen 2" suspension lift kit on Roughtrax site as i can only find +2" shocks and standard shocks and standard springs.
I think i will have to give them a ring and find out what they have got in stock and go from there
