quick question

I have released top two bolts on the alternator and slackened off the tensioner but it wont budge to get the belts off.Have I missed something??Thanks

Check underneath the front/rear of the alternator as this is where it will be pivoted from and you may need to slacken of the pivot bolts

I can only see two bolts holding the alt,I undid one bolt at the front and it did heehaw!

You might need to knock the alternator in a bit or pull the belts to move it. The adjuster won't slacken the belts off; it only allows the alternator to move, it doesn't actually move it.

I have pulled the belts, hit the alt, swore at it and zilch.Does anyone know how many bolts need to be undone to move the alt on a 3rd gen to get enough slack to change belts??Ta much
