You might need to knock the alternator in a bit or pull the belts to move it. The adjuster won't slacken the belts off; it only allows the alternator to move, it doesn't actually move it.
I have pulled the belts, hit the alt, swore at it and zilch.Does anyone know how many bolts need to be undone to move the alt on a 3rd gen to get enough slack to change belts??Ta much
