  • Quick Question People

    Hi all,
    I have a 1994 3.0 TD SSRX.
I had the timing belt changed within the first year of owning it. It's done about 25,000 miles since then, but the timing belt light has just lit up, which, incidentally, has coincided with the car just turning EXACTLY 100,000 miles!!

Should I really need to be changing the timing belt already? Or do I just need to reset the timing belt light?

    Thanks Guys 'n Gals.

the light only comes on in relation to the odo, you're supposed to reset it when you do a cambelt, then the light will come on 100,000k's from when reset, I guess it wasn't reset.

Thanks Tony, I was hoping it would be that.

Is the reset an easy job, and any ideas if there's a write up on here??

Look at the bottom centre of the dash and you will see a rubber grommit.Pull it out and use a cocktail stick or something and press the button in behind the grommit and then the t/belt is reset
