Even fitting 6mm spacers will eliminate the need to grind your 16" wheels so bolting 30mm spacers will give you plenty of room. I was considering doing the same. I've also decided to fit a new set of longer Goodridge stainless steel hoses while I'm at it.
I picked up a set of pads to suit the 2006 Tundra calipers, they're Toyota parts and are the same as some Landcruiser ones. The Toyota part number for them is 04465-35290.

As for wheel fitting..

Factory Landcruiser Colorado 5 spokes fit without any additional work or spacers, and look nicer than the 6 spoke ones most 3rd gens come with anyway, easy to find in the UK too.

In the states the 5 spoke "Landcruiser" wheel was a 4Runner gen 3 option anyway.

There is literally about 1MM clearance between the calliper and wheel, so depending on how it was balanced, balance weights might be an issue..

As for the benefits, mine had much nicer bite, much more progressive braking, and zero fade. Its not a fair comparison as my old brakes weren't new, however they were warped to buggery, which is apparently a very common issue. the Tundra rotors, being much thicker are much less likely to warp under heavy use. Downside, they do weigh more.

I'm glad I had them the day before yesterday, an emergency stop on the motorway from "Motorway cruising speeds".
It can out-brake a 08 reg Megane!

i found out that the rear brake calipers of a 00-05 jaguar s type got handbrake built in and can accept about 22-25mm thick disc, if you want to go big in front, go big on the back
