    Post 8 I think.

It's for the ln130 and I'm not sure if it's the same for the 3rd gen, would check it for you but I can't get to my truck at the mo.

Thanks Shalershasker, that did help & i managed to find an excellent pdf link that explains step by step how to do the job.

If anybodies interested here it is:http://www.toyotapart.com/DOOR_MIRRO...T-BO01-013.pdf

btw what the link doesn't mention is to avoid the broken mirror breaking up in the mirror holder tape up the broken panel before you start removing it.

Im chuffed now. Its as good as new again. Yesssss!!!

I did mine not so long ago and when all the broken glass is off screws are revealed that hold the mirror backing to the adjustment bracket. The new mirror is held in place by strong double sided tape or a large sticky pad. Hope this helps

Whats amazing is that when i took out the mirror holder it was perfect, not a bit of rust or mold & nothing loose or broken.
Not bad considering that a big heavy van mirror smashed into at a combined speed of probably 50/60mph!? The impact broke the mirror & thats all.

            Toyota's eh?

Not to hijack your thread fonecrusher, but a point you made kinda erked me as you say lack of guidelines/instructions.
I got a heavy duty tow hitch for xmas from roughtrax with no instructions/guidelines. I know it seems self explantory, but you could get the front plate & the back plate the wrong way round, even upside down.
The thing about it, if you put it on wrong & it weakened the coupling, its you who would be responsible, just for the lack of instructions. You'd think they would cover themselves just by putting in a set of instructions.
              Rant over........................

Not at all its a fair point.
In my case i wasn't expecting to get instructions but it took me a good while before i got my hands on that link on t'internet.

For the item you received there should be some sort of instructions for fitting considering the cost of it.
