hello all some of you may know that my nephew Peter Aldridge was the 250th soldier to be killed in action, i just wanted to share part of what he wrote in his final letter to his dad describing why he had to do his job:
"this was the path in life I had to take, a hardship I had to bare, to earn the right as a citizen, an Englishman & really my own place in the world."
This was Peter's final words to his dad. I really hope you all find comfort
knowing he fell dedicated to the Rifles and his country.
an amazing statement from a 19 year lad, its refreshing to know that there are young men and women who believe in all of us.
Thanks for reading this guys.
