  • Got One!

Picked up my first Surf last night - 2.4 2nd gen - fab condition, well looked after, already had its head sorted - 5 new tyres, recently serviced, interior immaculate - never been offrad or been a towing workhorse etc etc.

So all in all very pleased - has the double din TV/DVD screen in the front as well but the guy gave me a new centre consol incase I want to switch to a normal head unit. Nice gent also gave me his grease gun as well for all the hard to reach lube areas
He had also ordered new Surf Decals for up the side so if I like them I might change over from whats on.

Anyway - I have some minor plans - change the wheels and tyres to some BFG's etc as its road tyres on at the minute and I am sure I will have lots of questions.

Look forward to being an active part of the site and will have to get myself one of them stars!

    Anyway heres a quick pic

Back end of Coatbridge on the way up to Glenmavis - 9 miles or so outside the city.

I work in the city centre though - was interesting sitting on the M8 traffic this morning in the Surf - I was amazed at just how many vehicles it dwarfed.

The only thing I passed which felt similar in size was a Range Rover - Toureg's X5's Freelanders, Shogun's (SWB right enough) even Discos felt smaller and lower when I passed them.

Keen to meet fellow surfers so hopefully see you around!

Very smart, nice looking truck mate. I'm tempted to start the colour debate, but no I shouldnt. Look better with a bit of mud on it, and oh yes if it was burgundy
welcome to the mad hose mate

Very nice, I remember when mine was that shiny!

Never thought I'd do off roading / green laning when I first bought mine, but once you try it you'll get the bug!

                    Right on jess.

hi and welcome. Looks very ...shiny.

I'm getting another one. And it's a super duper one. In fact I reckon the first time I drive it, a little bit of wee is going to come out.
