Si Tate came over on Saturday after my purchase on Friday. Gave the Surf a good going over. Only small problem was a short exhaust which blew onto the bumper causing a whistle under load. This was fixed in Newtown on the way down to South Wales on Sunday, bit of heat and bracket bending at KwifFit. Huge thank you to Si for the effort which stilled my misgivings.
Journey down to Port Talbot was smooth as smooth, almost as good as my Merc. 370 somethings done on 47 litres of fuel which would equate to 35miles per gallon if it were miles. I suspect the trip meter is still in kilometres which gives 22 miles to the gallon, more like it!
Anyway here are some pics taken on in the Beacons between Builth and Brecon.
And I like burgundy. My Merc is a similar colour which Merc call 'Almondine Black' so stick that!
