Go to court, tell the judge that he is a homosexual and that you refuse to recognise the validity of the court.
Then claim political Asylum because speed cameras are a breach of your basic human rights.

Let us know how you get on...

When you have finished with the European War crimes commission, go on the course and save yourself the hassle when the insurance man says mmm i'll have to load your payments for that ! remember in this case points don't make prizes !

i've taken the course option twice. 2nd time i never turned up and was expecting to be given points instead but that was 3 years ago and heard nothing back.
both in hgv, 44 in a 40 downhill. and 39 in a 30 (a358 taunton ) 0430 in the morning. thought it was still 40

Depends on what you stand to lose by going on the course.
A days pay? A days holiday? Your job? (The mother in law is a magistrate and with 3 points for speeding she'd get a warning letter from the lord chancellor or whatever the title is, 3 more points and she'd be struck off as a magistrate - not exactly a job cos it's voluntary plus expenses but you get the idea)

Weigh up the possible increase in insurance costs (phone your insurance company up and see what they say would happen) and anything else you stand to lose for the 3 points.

If there is nowt in it I'd probably do the course cos I'd prefer to keep a clean licence. I had to do a 2 day course a few years ago to avoid a charge of driving without due care & attention. The instructor I had for the practical side of the course was absolutely brilliant. He was an ex-police motorcycle/car instructor and he was less interested in getting me to drive slowly than he was in teaching me how to drive safely, in control and to get the maximum enjoyment out of driving.

I'm just about to come out of the 4 year period of "being a good boy" where the rozzers retain this information should I cause another accident. I've got no doubt that I'm a better driver for going on the course.

You should get a 12 month ban, then have to take your test again when you get your licence back & only be aloud to drive land rovers for 10 years.

                          Hi mate,

Do the course, if you take the points, your insurance co
may ask if you have any motoring convictions, and use it
as another way to increase the premium, you don't have
                          to declare them this way.

                          Gman.
If it aint broke, keep goin' till it is.

I disagree. It's still a recorded conviction, it's merely the penalty that's changed.

FWIW, which is probably feck all, I'd do the course and declare it to my insurer.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

                              Hi Albannach,

A friend got flashed in Huddersfield last year, and took
the course, he asked the police officer giving the course
if he had to declare it to his insurance, and was told no.
It's only a question to be asked, for the definative answer
by the person doing the course, of course. It's courses for
                              courses.
