Hey si tate the exact same thing started happening with my heating fan as well.
It sounds like the fan itself is just barely touching something as it turns. Kind of like a flicking sound.
I thought it was the cold weather affecting the mechanism somehow but it hasn't gone away so i don't know whats going on.
Its not a big deal but its annoying all the same.
I'l investigate properly this weekend. If its a lot of hassle to sort i'l just live with it.

Keep me posted though mate cos if its an easy/quick fix i'll be doing it asap.If its not broke don't fix it.

Btw.....ive given the heater unit a gentle punch & the noise goes away but then returns a few minutes later??? Weird.
