ello jess,its quite possible i may have one here,what model has your cousin got, 2.8tdi independant? and dont tell me the layshaft bearings have gone.

Don't know much about it, but he explains it's awkward to select 2nd gear at times without "double de clutch" ...
It's a 1990 2.8 Turbo Fieldman (M75)

hi jess. ah yea right, i know what that is,you dont need another gbox, the big flange nut that holds the layshaft in place has come undone and what its doing is when you select second gear its trying to push the layshaft into the transfer case,you need to modify the nut and shaft. if you want we can do it here. the transfer box needs to come off and we can then sort it for you. give me a ring on 07872482076
