Basically, (caused by alleged warming?) a big iceberg floats off from the antarctic. Big iceberg affects ocean currents. Earth cools as a result. (Well, north atlantic at least!).

I've always maintained that our planet is a big old complicated thing. As soon as you claim to know whats happening someone somewhere will discover something else that makes it more complicated than before and probably disproves what you've previously believed to be the case.

Keeps us scientists in jobs though I suppose!

Scientists have said it has nothing to do with global warming, it was apparantly caused by 2 icebergs crashing together many years ago, this caused the tip of the huge iceberg to crack and start to break away, which over many years it now has, so bbc is wrong,
