  • Hi from Rich in Hertfordshire

    Hi Guys

I am going through big changes in how I spend my time and money and one of the things I want to do is get a robust reliable 4x4 pre 2001 and easy to work on. My web research has lead me to the Surf and I think they look pretty wicked to!

              Hi.

Get a green oval machine. You won't ever lose it. You can follow the oil leak trail to find it.
              Non intercooled nothing.

you should be able to pick up a top condition 2nd gen for that price or even the 3rd gen.Have a good look about for a truck and test drive both gens to see which you prefer

ok. I'm pleased about that - I think a 3.0auto for that sort of money would be great. I am in hertforshire - does anybody know any specialists?

                      Thanks

Keep an eye on the surfs for sale section here and on ebay. The dealers will be a hell of a lot more than your budget.
At least if you buy from a forum member you will know what your buying and have some history of the truck

Recently made the jump and got me a surf! I don,t know what took me so long, i'd been watching them for months. Eventually got a 93 3.0l ssrx, She's in mint condition and only cost £1400. Got to be the bargain of the century!!

hello and welcome! I got my Surf in November and i'm loving it! This forum is very helpful, people very nice. Surf's aren't too difficult to work on some bits are a bit awkward!
