no it should be in H2
H4 is when the lever is still in the back position but you press the button on the lever.
If you push the lever forward then you will be in L4

so if i pull it all the way back...its H2..if i then press the button..its H4 and if i push it all the way forward its L4
that is correct but never use 4wd on the road unless its icy/snow or on any loose/slippery ground
I know about the usage of it but was a little unsure of the road driving norm as we have a landy which stays in H ratio but its in permanent 4wd. so im getting used to having a seperate stick.
