Heres a couple more, there area couple of small dents on the bottom part of the front frame but they are down low so should not notice too much. The front plates could be unbolted and replaced if you wanted to.

Just so you all know, i have not really decided if im going to keep them or not. Im not trying to advertise them for free its just that i started this post with the intention of putting them on my truck, then changed my mind, now i having second thoughts It must bean age thing,i seem to get more indecisive with the passing years.Toyota surf 3.0D 1995

OK, first pic is the bars when i got em, the brackets you need are the ones marked by red lines, the ones marked with blue lines came with the bars but i never figured where they went, wouldn't fit anywhere that i could see, think they are for AIBA bars, the guy i bought from got two pair of bars at the time, 1x Jaos & 1xAIBA, so no need to worry about them!
2nd pic, the bracket fitted, red line bolts fix the bracket (and recovery hooks) to the chassi, blue line bolts fix the bars to the bracket
3rd pic, shows the other side of the same bracket/bars. this is the off side shown btw, same set up for the other side

That explains a lot, thanks very much. I was confused by the other two brackets
higher up on the bars.I did not realise that the bottom brackets would be sufficient for supporting the whole bull bar. Maybe the truck they came off had been modified in some way to accept them. Anyway, thanks again,i think i will
have another look next week and see if i can get them on.Toyota surf 3.0D 1995

I person like the practicality of them when lanning/off roading. Its are great at protecting the front of my car from scratches etc from bushes and branches etc etc.
Scratches are part and parcel of laning unless you avoid all but the most wide open lanes. Gorse shows now mercy, and the bars wont help you at all there.
With the greatest of respect, I'd suggest that if you dont want to scratch your paint, stay away from laning. Scratches are a kind of patina your paint takes on to show everyone that your truck isn't just a school run machineCutting steps in the roof of the world
