not work is in no drive? forwards or backwards?

enough oil in it, forgot to bolt torque converter to flex plate, converter not fitted over input shaft properly, shifter not fitted properly.

more details Rich. How does it sound when engine running?

i sold a decent gearbox to a guy and the garage fitting it said its a duff gearbox. They quoted the guy 3 hours to do the job and they have said its taken 10hrs now and they never realised how big the box was and now they want his truck out the garage and taken away. There is no drive at all with it at the moment and the truck is stuck in Bournemouth

i bet they didnt align the two teeth on the torque convertor for the pump drive and have snapped the bugger off.

The guy is looking for another garage to take the truck to aswell and if the original gargae wont put the old box back in then it will have to be trailered.
I have said i will send a replacement box if it is needed so if you or anyone know of a gargae that will put in another gearbox for the guy cheap can you let me know asap

if he can get it to me i'll have a look, or for suitable moneys i'll go get it. Might have to wait a few days though.

            £200 is labour on a gearbox in-n-out.

I bet Mark is correct, it's proving it in a way that will let him claim his charges back.

i think that aswell and that they never put enough fluid into it or none at all.
I just wanted to double check really on what my thoughts were to start with
                  Thanks all
