I have a Quecha pop-up and it's not bad. 2"XL I think. It's been out in all sorts of storms and I've not had a problem. I do put all the guy ropes out though, it gets pretty lively otherwise.
A 'proper' tent is better, but the pop-up is invaluable if you get there on a windy day (provided you keep hold of it as it opens).
