Sleeping in a surf?!

I now have my eye on a couple of tents on ebay. I have an old (very!) 2 berth tent that i got for the kids to use in the back garden but it's been put away for so long that i can't remember where i put it & i doubt it'll be much good by now!

I have a Quecha pop-up and it's not bad. 2"XL I think. It's been out in all sorts of storms and I've not had a problem. I do put all the guy ropes out though, it gets pretty lively otherwise.

A 'proper' tent is better, but the pop-up is invaluable if you get there on a windy day (provided you keep hold of it as it opens).

Slept in my Surf at Le Mans, ideal, you can make it as comfortable as you want!

There are levels of roughin it young man, most of which I am sick & tired of! I only do comfort now. I have an inflatable air bed for whichever option it ends up as. Old bones & all that.

I was thinking along the lines of...........if i pitched a tent then i'd have more room in the boot for beers!
