  • MOT stress!

is it just me that gets so stressed around MOT time? I just keep expecting a huge failure sheet and a huge bill for repairs no matter what car I take for an MOT.
But that lovely surf has pulled an ace and passed without any advisories.
I'm feeling a better nights sleep tonight.

A huge bill, get the tools out and crack on.

A steady bit of maintenance means MOT time is nothing to be feared.
these trucks are nut and bolt mostly.

If it fails, pop round and me and Yoshie will sort it out a lot cheaper than your local garage.

I’ve had my surf since October 2006. (It is a 3:0 V6 Petrol).

October 2007, it needed new exhaust (6 week wait direct from Japan) and a track rod = £600
October 2008, needed one new rear number plate lamp bulb
December 2009 (MOT late due to my broken collar bone), needed new pair of wiper blades.

Other expenses where when the head gaskets went (Jan 2007) £1,200 and having the starter motor reconditioned £50.

So all in all I think that is pretty good for a 16 year old truck.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL
