Phil i put a massive rolled turkey breast in the oven and it came out the size of a pidgeon, i blamed the fan oven. How come everything is rolled!!! TRUCK ROLL,BREAST ROLL,SAUSAGE ROLLS,SWISS ROLL,BREAD ROLL i suppose the lottery will be a rollover.
Anyway had to reddress her hand earlier so i thought i could take some pics at the same time, got to the meaty bit and she kept screaming, what a wuss!! then she started getting punchey! so i could only get a shot of the top bit,have to have another go later,i reckin if i pull it of quick and run,give it ten minutes i will be ok,or perhaps notAccording to her hospital notes the worst bit is Extensor tendon injury to the right index finger, now if i am right that is the one that elevates said finger, or as i would say the pointing finger, if i knew this before hand i would of told them to leave it!!!
Lastly how the hell can one sleep with a crash hat on,she keeps getting recall dreams, anyway i have told her wake up before she gets to the window scene.
Great thing is now at least we can laugh about it.

Spent five hours at poole hospital and finally got to see the dreaded finger, i have seen better sausages in my frying pan. They have cut right across her finger just above the nail, again at the first joint and again at the knuckle with two smaller ones midway, all followed with a rake of stitches,poor girl no wonder she wouldn,t let me get that bit of dressing off , must admit i was a tad shocked at the state of it, without doubt she won't be pointing that finger for a long time, the only good bit is she cannot drive for at least 9 weeks so you should be ok out there for a while,hope to get the pics of the truck tommorrow unless it has already gone to Loders,probably be a fridge next year!!!!

Wow, just caught up with this thread, sorry about the surf mate and glad the missus is ok, sounds like she's making a good but painfull recovery, hope it all works out for the both of you.

Got the missus to face her demons today, had to do it as she will not drive another 4x4 again, first we went to see the truck, not as bad as i thought, bit of t-cut and presto off we go again, might be a bit draughty though.
Seems most of the damage is to the roof above the drivers side, and passengers side, bit on the back and scrapes and mud on the passenger side,also went to the crime scene, Tough on the old girl but she needed to see it with me as that is her route to work, it seems she lost it on the s bend, back end kicked out and she slammed straight into the opposite bank,The angle she hit it was unfortunate as it was perfect for a roll, classic tv stunt stuff. The damage seems to suggest more of a flip backwards with a half roll, particulary as there is hardly no mud and crap in the body crevices.The good news is it worked, she is much happier now and to be honest if it was me driving i doubt i could of avoided it.I took a couple of pics , there not great as i bust my decent camera.
Looks like someone is going to have a field day on spares!!

I remember seeing a program of hip ops Stormforce, sort of hammer and chisel jobbie, no keyhole surgery there. are they still fitting titanium joints? I will see if i can get some pics of the pinky on the next hospital visit,unless they throw me out!!!!

My op was a hip debridement where they drill into the ball joint and then dis-locate the hip and then cut the ball joint of and re-shape it and then re-shape the socket.They then fix the ball joint back with screws where they drilled the holes at the start so it all lines up right when all put back together.
This operation is to avoid hip replacements later on in life.This operation has only been done over here for the last 6 yrs i think and only 3 surgeons in the uk that did it 3 yrs ago when i had mine done

WOW! Stormforce, looks like you will pass mot's with flying colours for years to come,amazing what they can do. Just sorted a motor for the time being, my son has given us his Toyota 4.ltr soarer, only done 48,000 miles from new. i love V8s, i will love it even more when i transplant it into a surf!!!!Wonder what it goes like as i have never driven it, nor has the wife which is more worrying,Wonder if i ought to fit a roll bar!!!!!! better leave a pin to pop the airbags and a little hammer,I think she will definitly me if she reads this one, Still it will give. me time to get another surf when the time is right. Anyway i will use this opportunity to wish all you great people a most sincere HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Randomly - I went for a job interview at a private hospital once. The job was cleaning up the "kits" they use for a hip replacement operation. Amazing set of saws, drill bits, etc. Part of the interview was to watch a video of the operation cos the operating tools come out pretty messy and they wanted to check I had a strong enough stomach for the job...
