What a nice idea, yes i would love to have the recipie from Holli it would certainly make a nice treat.
Latest is she is back in theatre again tommorrow for further treatment and a faint possibility she can come home, From what i can tell she has damaged the finger ligiments and where she impacted the glass she smashed the knuckles and the broken pieces were jammed into the joints, OUCH! and OUCH again, i guess the nerve endings must have been damaged too.
I think i will leave a little hammer in the next Vehicle.My boys are a callous lot, they only wanted me to photo her hand with the story and to send it to Nuts and grab £250No! her left hand can still punch ok!!!and anyway you won't believe this my camera packed up yesterday too.
Cal you are dead right mate, laughter is the only way out , we done that one when the alternater went on the Soarer.

Great news at last,
THE WIFE IS NOW HOME.
Had a giggle at the hospital as i had to dress her, slight problem fitting the bra! had it upside down. Bit like the truck!still had a bit more pratice the other way round.
I can only describe it like fitting a tonnue cover on my P100.
Bad news is she cannot use her hand for up to 9 weeks so my cooking skills will be well tested,so there could well be a beans shortage in Dorset.
I would like to say thankyou for your support, it mean't a lot to me and the wife. Margarita has read the input and it really made her smile,Thanks.
PS hope to get some pics of the truck next week for the record.

Sorry for the delay & hope the missus is doing ok and here goes with the truffles

Ingredients

* 224 g cream cheese, softened
* 375 g confectioners' sugar, sifted
* 505 g semisweet chocolate chips, melted
* 8 ml vanilla

Directions

1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla until no streaks remain. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls.


Roll truffles in ground walnuts (or any ground nuts), cocoa, coconut, confectioners' sugar, candy sprinkles, etc.

To flavor truffles with liqueurs or other flavorings, omit vanilla. Divide truffle mixture into thirds. Add 1 tablespoon liqueur (almond, coffee, orange) to each mixture; mix well.

Holli just uses five bars of dark chocolate with at least 75% coca content

It's Murder now she is home, she keeps pointing at things and giving instruction's, and i haven't a truck to hide under now. Best bit is giving her mince pies with the foil on and watching her trying to get it off with one hand,and butter in those little packages, that will teach her to roll my truck!!! of course i am only joking i am not that bad.

Chaz, contact your local social services and advise that your wife has mobility problems with her hand which is causing difficulty. They will loan you various aids that she can use. In addition, as she will require therapy at a later stage, they may also be able to help. Generally for the first 6 weeks the therapy is free. Give them a call and see if they can help.

You won't believe this Wiggy, just up the road from Blandford on the Dorchester road,small world isn't it.
Just watched Top Gear 4x4 offroad trecking,i enjoyed it, not sure if the missus did.I did point out that what she achieved was not classed as off-roading, "watching her left hand at all times!!!" Dancing on ice with a 4x4 to the sound of El Divo at a thousand watts and finishing with a balero does not count.or does it! as technicly she was off the road for a few seconds.At that point the finger pointing started, so i am in the safe room now,i think!!!. Been looking at a replacement surf ,i am tempted to get another Ln130 as if i buy back mine i will have loads of spares, or i may go for a 3ltr jobbie, but i guess it is how she feels about it if you know what i mean.Time will tell.
