Well! what a rubbish start to Christmas, spent bucket loads on my beloved forerunner,Running sweet, new head, s/steel exhaust, new clutch with English solid flywheel, new water pump, recent alternater, ect, only to get totaly wiped out on black ice, The wife rolled it this morning!!! big time too.
If it was not for the build of the truck the medics could not believe she got out with just a smashed up hand. spent all day in the hospital and found out she smashed up her hand punching her way through the passenger window in panic. Jesus!! i don't think i will take the mick on her driving if she can do that. My boys went to get the personal effects from the recovery people and have told me it is totaly wrecked, not one window survived, and every panel is buckled. Still i may not have a truck but at least i still have my wife and that is the best Christmas present i could wish for.
Hopefully i will collect her Christmas day as she was operated on this evening, that's of course we don't get a frost here in Dorset, come's to something when you cannot even stand on the highway in the 21st Century guys, Dam'n the council make me mad
Raise a glass for a forerunner no more.
    Chaz.

Sorry to hear about your truck. It's only metal and can be replaced. The most important thing is that your wife came out of it relatively unscathed. I wish you the best Christmas possible under the circumstances.

Looks like you will be cooking then?
    It's only a hobby!

Your dead right Phil, hope to pick her up today after the docs have done there rounds. Fingers crossed.
COOKING!!! Forgot about that oneJust looked at the turkey and it looks more scarey than my truck. Can't find anything on the forum about cooking turkeys!!!!!!!!or the surf manual!!!!!what torque do i use and where the hell do i stick the dipstick?.
I am spot on with a microwave but i can't get the bugger in, looks like i will have to wait till wifey is home to give instuctions. I have a large bottle of cognac sitting in front of me and it is very tempting.
      BEANS ANYONE.

                    Cheers guys,
It means a lot to me.
Latest update is she has to have another operation today, Blimey! the old girl doesn,t mess about when it comes to punching. well! looks Like i will be spending Christmas day in Poole Hospital, still at least i don't have to eat the food, Hang on!!!!!! NO COOKING? She has also asked me to bring her make up in, how the hell is she going to put it on with her left hand! I know i could do it for her,she might end up looking like a tart though.
Still she will be ok, so we will be having Christmas a little later, still while everyone else will be winding down we will be just starting our celebrations, now that's a positive.

Glad to hear she was OK.

That's two in a week, both female drivers too. Hmmm. I try not to read too much into statistics.

                        Oh man.
Like me, I'm really gald to hear your lady is OK. It sounds a much worse tumble than my other half took.
As the wrecker said when he came to pick up our truck, in a lesser vehicle things would have been a whole lot worse. Be thankful for just bent metal.

On that note, the bodyshop have estimated in excess of four grand to put ours straight - I can just see Tesco paying out for that.
Stormforce ( Richard) has the required panels so I'll try a rebuild on ours, since it only seems to be the offside that took the landing.

Best wishes to the Mrs & yourself.

                          Hi Dave,
sorry to hear that your wife too has had a accident, as long as she is ok that,s the main thing, having never rolled a vehicle yet! it must be a pretty scarey event.
Anyway been to see the missus and spent most of the afternoon holding her kidney bowls, poor girl is not handling the drugs very well. Faint possibility she may come home tommorrow. On the way back the Soarer,s alternater packed up, strewth!! how much more can go wrong,i need to nip this trend in the bud. Looks like i will have to pick her up in the Ford p100 and if that goes wrong it's the pushbike, can't it's got a flat tire, Sod it i am buying a horse!!!!!
                          Chaz.

Just to say thanks for the turkey cooking sites, it's in the oven now so as a precaution with my current run of luck it is getting 20min per pound plus 5 hours!!! Yes it will resemble pork scratching, but i ain't taking chances.
Chaz's revized Christmas menu= PORK SCRATCHINGS with a hint of turkey,
CHUNKEY BREAD as i can't be bothered to cut it,
                            With a hint of COGNAC
