    the alko hitch (red one with internal friction pads) MUST be used with an extended ball hitch if you have the flange type bolt on ball...

    if it's a swan nexk, then as long as it clears your bumper then it's fine.

    the one that's a pain to fit, i'd imagine, is the old type with a leaf spring that runs alongside onto a bracket.

      do what bushwacker says.i was told"it should be ok"but mine is 26 ft twin axle i wasnt taking any chances

        They do when a STEERING IDLER BALL JOINT gives in. I nearly lost the lot on the A30 Going into Cornwall a few years back.
