  • is there much point moving from 31" on 15" to 265/75/16?

according to my math, ill gain about half an inch of clearance.

    is it worth the trouble?
i plan to do a 2"suslift early next year to help out with clearance but also because the back end of the surf is sagging like a bitch!

trying to hold off on a body lift...

was going to swap out the the rims with new tyres at the same time, and was told that 265/75/16 is the way to go.... but that'll run me about $400AU a corner....
and im just wondering if for $1600AU its worth upgrading the tyres and rims, so soon for only an extra half inch... or should i do the lift first and see how i go?

    thanks....

You answered your own question a 31" tyre for a 32 tyre not really worth it.
Why go for 16" rims is there more choice of tyre in that size down under?

A 265x75 is 10.45" wide am guessing you have 10.5s on at the min so no width change.

supposedly not a lot of great options for the 15" (according to several 4x4 stores i asked in)

thats the rims on there - can anyone identify the specs just from looking at them?

            hey thanks DW,

yeah i assumed there were standard.
what are the specs of the standard "7jj" rim?

is it 15x10"? google is not really helping me with this answer - but anyway it seems like if it IS 15x10, there arent a lot of 32" 60/40 tyres out on the market... unless someone can point me in the right direction. im still very new to all this!

            thanks -
            dan
