If your online, your Toy is ready for collection......

before and after pic, all in one for ease of viewing.

For all you nosey buggers, +2" rear coils, Procomp 9000's all round, and jacked the torsion bars just over 1".

Plus cleaned out the rear brakes of mud and readjusted the handbrake cos it was poo and annoyed me!!!

          Looks great.

Just about to attempt exactly the same job.
How difficult were the torsion bars to tweak, and winding them an inch, how do they feel? Would it go more...? (would you want to?)

I have managed to pick up one of Roger Browns Diff Drop Kits, so that should releive the strain on the CV's...

The torsions are quite easy, the only trouble is you can't get any WD40 on the bolt thread, and they are usually muddy/corroded so the bolt jams up. 1" is about 10 turns on the bolt.

You can't go to far, as the bar behaves funny if its over loaded, better to get thickers, heavy duty ones. But then you can't go to far anyway, as the bump stop mounts stop to much travel.

                Thanks for that Tony.

I'll get the rear sorted first, and then investigate the front end.

So what are you rim to arch measurements now, front and rear?
(what I am getting at is, what they should be lifted... I think my front end was wound down to match a saggy rear before I bought it)

how tight are the torsion bar bolts??? my front end is well low and I tried the other week and I stopped because I didnt want to snap the bolt or my breaker bar!!!
might try again tomorrow - if everyone says they are tight then ill swing on the bar more
